Conference sparks global interest

Two days of insight and debate on carbon capture and storage starts online tomorrow (Wednesday) at CCUS 2020, chaired by Humber Zero Project Director Jonathan Briggs.

Minister of State for Business, Energy and Clean Growth The Rt Hon Kwasi Kwarteng MP and Scotland’s Minister for Energy, Connectivity and the Islands Paul Wheelhouse MSP are among the speakers tomorrow (1st).

Almost 1,000 people from across the world have registered for the two-day conference.

Conference will hear from policymakers, developers and industry representatives from the UK, Canada, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Japan, China, Australia and the EU.

A US showcase event on Thursday (3rd December) will look at the policy, projects and infrastructure needed for a thriving US carbon capture market.

Jonathan was looking forward to an insightful two days.

Here in the UK, carbon capture and storage was one of the ten pillars in the Prime Minister’s ten point plan for a green industrial revolution, announced earlier this month.
